Gastro Market occupies a restored 19th-century riad in the heart of Marrakech's medina, offering a thoughtful, contemporary take on Moroccan cuisine. Chef Hassan Bensouda trained in Paris and Lyon before returning to his homeland to reinterpret its culinary heritage with French technique and the finest local ingredients.

Hassan Bensouda

Chef Hassan Bensouda grew up in Fes, trained at the Escoffier School in Paris, and staged at three-Michelin-starred establishments in Lyon. He returned to Morocco in 2012 to open Gastro Market, driven by a vision to make Moroccan fine dining respected internationally.

Dining Experience

Ambiance

A 19th-century riad transformed into a sanctuary of calm. Zellige tilework, sculpted plasterwork, and a central fountain create a theatrical backdrop. Dinner is served by candlelight under a canopy of stars. The scent of rose petals and orange blossom drifts through the courtyard.
